Questions have been raised surrounding a young woman’s relationship with a former Child Safety officer after the woman was charged for breaching a domestic violence order involving the 49-year-old man.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty on April 22 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to three breaches of protection orders, two fail to provide identifying particulars and one fail to appear in court.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Darrell Dalton said police were called to a motel on Gladstone Road at 1.15pm on February 20.
He said the defendant was arguing with a third party over the phone when the man tried to leave the motel room, but the defendant locked him in the room. ....

Drug user started smoking after mum's death 14 years ago

A woman who started using drugs when she was 14 after her mother died but recently quit using drugs while living with her father and stepmother was warned against moving interstate with a friend.
Rebecca Dawn Hurley, 28, pleaded guilty on April 22 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to four counts of possessing a dangerous drug, two of possessing drug utensils and one of possessing a restricted item.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Darrell Dalton said police searched a vehicle, suspected of being lived out of, at Cooee Bay on January 4 at 10.30pm.
He said Hurley told police she had a bong in the car. ....

A man busted with $50 of marijuana claimed his friend asked him to purchase the illicit substance for them.
Brian Kenneth Shaw, 30, pleaded guilty on April 22 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to one count each of possessing a dangerous drug and supplying a dangerous drug.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Darrell Dalton said police intercepted Shaw and a female on Upper Dawson Road at 9pm on March 8 and detained them for a search.
He said Shaw declared three grams of marijuana which he claimed he had purchased for a friend for $50.
Sergeant Dalton said a further one gram of marijuana was found in Shaw’s wallet. ....
