Hudson County View By John Heinis/Hudson County View Deveon Palms 19, and a 17-year-old male, both from Jersey City, were charged with theft of a motor vehicle and eluding, according to Police Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera. On Wednesday at approximately 8:19 p.m., a Grubhub delivery man reported his vehicle stolen. The victim explained that he was picking up a delivery in the area of 1st and Washington Streets and left his vehicle running and unattended. Then when he returned, his vehicle was gone. Police Officers Damien Bates, Tyrone Huggins and James Barbro responded to the victim and provided a description of the stolen vehicle. According to the Hoboken Police Department, on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at about 9:56 p.m., Sergeant Luke Zeszotarski and Officer Arturo Gonzalez were dispatched to meet the owner of a vehicle who found illegal drugs inside the vehicle. The owner rents his vehicles through a phone application called Getaround. On Jan. 20, the vehicle was towed by Getaround from New York City to Hoboken, because Getaround believed the vehicle had been abandoned. ....
