The South Bend school board on Monday night approved spending $400,000 of the district s anticipated $26.4 million in federal pandemic relief funding on community organizations who have proposed helping students this summer. Nine groups were named in a contract approved by the school board, including one overseen by a school board member.

St. Joseph Health system announced Monday that COVID vaccinations will be provided at Saint Joseph Medical Group locations throughout the area beginning on June 5. In a news release, people seeking COVID-19 vaccines through St. Joseph Medical Group doctors are asked to call their local doctor s office to schedule an appointment. In addition, St. Joseph Health System announced that COVID-19 testing in Saint Joseph County and Marshall counties will transition to other providers on June 23.
