CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Police arrested a man who was a suspect in a 2006 sexual assault investigation in Charlotte.
Michael Wayne Frieda, 47, was taken into custody in Texas on March 3.
On Oct. 7, 2006, a 24-year-old woman reported to police was walking home from work on Tuckaseegee Road when a man approached her, threatened her with a deadly weapon and moved her into a wooded area where he sexually assaulted her and took her personal belongings. ....
