The Chicago Thinker Managing Editor Evita Duffy says her newspaper has given conservatives a voice and made them unafraid to espouse conservative views on campuses and the newspaper came out of a desire to “showcase conservative ideas”.

“I wrote on a whiteboard ‘I vote because the coronavirus won’t destroy America but socialism will’ and because of that I received attacks against my character and my intellect, my family, my physical appearance, and it actually culminated in a death threat,” she told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.

“I banded together with other conservatives who have faced similar issues and said enough is enough we’re going to start this newspaper to showcase conservative ideas and change the narrative and make a difference with campus culture.”

Ms Duffy said after the Wall Street Journal did a piece on the Chicago Thinker people from all over the country submitted pieces to the newspaper but said she wanted to keep it focussed on ....
