Sindh Tractor Subsidy Scheme: NAB warns Sindh ACE against conducting parallel probe

KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has taken a notice of the Sindh Anti-Corruption Establishment’s (ACE) probe into the misappropriation of Rs 800 million in the Sindh Tractor Subsidy Scheme, already under the investigation of NAB.
NAB sources told The News that the Sindh Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has also initiated a probe into the Sindh Tractor Subsidy Scheme (Phase III) from 2013 to 2016, ignoring all rules, laws and NAB ordinance, only to sabotage the NAB’s investigation.
The case was initially taken up by the NAB Karachi but when the matter of the ‘fake accounts case’ was transferred to the NAB Rawalpindi on the directions of the apex court, the issue of the ‘Tractor Subsidy Scheme’ was also transferred to the NAB Pindi. According to the official documentary evidence, copies of which are exclusively available with The News, the NAB Rawalpindi has written to Chairman Sindh Enquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishmen ....

Two anti-corruption dept officials suspended

KARACHI: Two officers of Sindh Enquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishment (E&ACE) have been suspended for initiating inquiries against two officers of District Municipal Corporation (DMC) South, Karachi.
According to the official correspondence of the Department copies of which are available with The News, two assistant directors of Sindh Anti-Corruption Department, Allah Bux Korejo and Saddam Wassan, have been directed to report to Services, General Administration and Coordination Department(SGA&CD), Sindh.
Korejo, posted at the office of E&ACE chairman, following the directions of the chairman issued notice to Municipal Commissioner South Akhtar Shaikh for bringing of record of development works carried out under his supervision. Later, Korejo was forced to withdraw his notice. Besides suspension an inquiry has also been initiated against him. ....

Authorities have sealed the office of M/s PIDC Employees Multipurpose Cooperative Housing Society after complaints of illegal sale of plots by a fake management. The society is located in Scheme-33 and has its office in Panorama Center, Saddar.
The Sindh Cooperative Housing Societies Department received
several complaints from society members and the assistant registrar over
