A “pleasant” statistical researcher sent an email to apologise for what police officers were going to find in his flat before taking his own life, an inquest has heard.
Alan Lunt, 42, sent an email to the Samaritans at 1.21pm on June 1 asking for the appropriate authorities to be called to his flat “where you will find my body after suicide”.
The inbox is not constantly monitored, so it was not read until 3.45pm that day – but as soon as it was picked up, police were called to Mr Lunt’s home in Dean Wood Road in Jordans. ....
