"Njet" Vlaams-Brabant tegen nieuwe gascentrale ondanks positieve adviezen: technische of politieke beslissing?

De provincie Vlaams-Brabant weigert Engie/Electrabel een vergunning te geven voor een nieuwe gascentrale in Vilvoorde. Volgens bevoegd gedeputeerde Gunther Coppens (N-VA) zou de gascentrale te veel stikstof, CO2 en ammoniak uitstoten. Maar uit het advies van zijn eigen administratie dat onze redactie kon inkijken, blijkt net het tegendeel. Dat advies is overigens gebaseerd op een hele reeks adviezen van allerlei overheidsinstanties, onder meer ook van de Vlaamse overheid.
Volgens Gunther Coppens zou het project te vervuilend voor de Vlaamse natuur zijn. Laten we zeggen dat het vooral een technisch gegeven is , zei hij vrijdag aan VRT NWS. Eigenlijk komt het erop neer dat wij vinden dat de gascentrale te veel stikstof, CO2 en ammoniak zal uitstoten om in regel te zijn met de voorwaarden en de ministeriële instructies. Dat is een feit. ....

Das Bundeskabinett hat Ende Juni nach mehrjährigem Hickhack die Neufassung der Technischen Anleitung zur Reinhaltung der Luft (TA Luft) beschlossen.
