Arlo Parks leads the nominations for the 2021 AIM Awards with four nods. The 20-year-old singer is the front-runner at this yearâs Association of Independent Music Awards, which will take place on August 25 with a virtual event co-hosted by Tiffany Calver and Jamz Supernova. Arlo has been nominated for Best Independent Album for her debut album âCollapsed in Sunbeamsâ and Best Independent Track for the single Hopeâ, as well as Best Independent Video, and UK Independent Breakthrough. Of her four nominations, Arlo Parks said in a statement: What an honour to be nominated for four AIM Awards! This is far beyond my wildest dreams and I m so glad my work has reached this far and touched so many, especially in these tumultuous times. ....
Also collecting multiple nods for the August event is synthpop band Working Men s Club who is up against the Hope singer in the Best Independent Album category. ....

The nominees for this year s AIM Independent Music Awards have been announced, with Bicep and Floating Points among those bagging two nominations each. Bicep have received nominations in the International Breakthrough and Best [Difficult] Second Album categories, while Floating Points has been recognised in the Best Independent Remix category, for his remix of Thundercat s Fair Chance , and Best Independent Album category, for Promises , his collaborative album with Pharoah Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra. Elsewhere, India Jordan and Conducta have been recognised among the UK Independent Breakthrough nominees, and Ninja Tune artists Jayda G and 박혜진 Park Hye Jin join fellow label act Bicep in the Independent Breakthrough category. ....
