Flora-Bama’s 8th Annual Beach Run/Walk for America’s Warriors will be the best run of the year! Who wouldn’t want to utilize our gorgeous white sandy beaches? The start and end point is right here at the Flora-Bama and we run entirely on the beach! All 5K runners will be headed into Alabama and all 1/2 marathon runners will be headed into Florida.
100% of the registration fees will go to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
The Special Operations Warrior Foundation ensures full scholarship grants as well as educational and family counseling to the surviving children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel who lose their lives in the line of duty and immediate financial assistance for severely wounded special operations personnel and their families. ....

He has done it year after year in area races, to bring attention to his favorite charity, The Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which supports military families.
 
 
Andrews is a physical education teacher in Polk County and a former professional bodybuilder. He decided to combine his love for fitness with his support for Special operations in a unique and jaw-dropping way.
 
A few years ago, he entered a race called ‘The Warrior Dash’ wearing a vest emblazoned with Special Operations Warrior Foundation. ....

Corps of Cadets members march 1,000 miles, raise $25,000 for military families


Six Texas A&M University students completed a cumulative 1,000 mile fundraising ruck march Wednesday afternoon. 
The journey that took the men from Zion National Park in south central Utah to Pagosa Springs, Colorado, was to raise money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. It was the fourth year that members of the A&M Corps of Cadets Company H-1 joined to be part of “Project Atlas.” 
The journey is known as a ruck march because the team members wore rucksacks, which the team’s itinerary says were usually filled with extra layers of clothing, food and water. 
The group’s original goal was to raise $16,000 for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides financial assistance for scholarships and educational counseling to the surviving children of Special Operations personnel who died in the line of duty. ....

Texas A&M Cadets to march 1,000 miles to Pagosa Springs for Special Operations Warrior Foundation

Six members of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets are participating in their fourth annual Project Atlas Ruck March in support of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. 
The cadets will conduct a “ruck march” a cumulative distance of 1,000 miles from Zion National Park in Utah to Pagosa Springs over the course of eight days during the holidays. 
The term “ruck march” is in reference to the rucksack carried on the backs of the cadets that holds their extra layers of clothing, food and water. 
This ruck march will raise awareness and funds for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships and educational counseling for the surviving children of Special Operations personnel killed in the line of duty.  ....
