Australian Survivor has returned to Aussie shores for filming in 2021, after years of the show being set in overseas locations. Now, with the coronavirus pandemic restricting international travel, the show has returned to Australia to film for the first time in over a decade.

“The first two seasons were in Samoa, the next three in Fiji, and on all those occasions I stayed at the resort,” says host of
Survivor Australia Jonathan LaPaglia. He pauses a beat. “There’s no resort in Cloncurry.”
In fact there’s not much of anything in Cloncurry, almost 2000 kilometres northwest of Brisbane and about 800 kilometres from the coast. Apart from red sand, low scrub, spectacular sunsets and sunrises – and, apparently, a lot of friendly people. (Cloncurry was voted Queensland’s friendliest town in 2013 and again in 2018.) ....

Australian Survivor with a beautiful backdrop of either Samoa or Fiji, but season six is set to bring about an entire new location - and it s in our very own backyard.

Network Ten has revealed the premiere date for the Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn, with the program to hit screens on Sunday, 18 July.
This edition of the show will, as the name suggests, pit muscle against science and book smarts, and Ten has dropped two trailers teasing contestants from each team.
“When an artist, a marine scientist and a real estate agent are pitted against a personal trainer, a big wave surfer and a health coach, anything can happen,” Ten said.
This series is being produced by Endemol Shine Australia for Network Ten, and will once again be hosted by Jonathan LaPaglia. Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn is also the sixth edition of the show featuring Australian contestants. ....
