The Hon.Minister of Tourism and Aviation has instructed this office of the following:
1. For Passengers not arriving via the Sri Lanka Tourism Bio Bubble and who have not been vaccinated or only partially vaccinated can be carried by Airlines only up to a maximum of 75 passengers per flight. (Explanation : This will include passengers arriving for Hotel Quarantine and Government Quarantine)
2. Airlines are permitted to carry fully vaccinated passengers (administered with the relevant doses and 14 days have lapsed) without any limitation of passenger numbers per flight. (Explanation : This will include passengers arriving for Hotel Quarantine and Government Quarantine) ....

SriLankan MRO begins servicing Qatar aircraft

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lankan Airlines said its engineering arm has started servicing aircraft belonging to Qatar Airways after a deal was inked with Qatar Airways to carry out fleet maintenance.
The first maintenance certification was performed on an Airbus A321 aircraft A7-AID of Qatar Airways last week by SriLankan’s Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) will do the work at Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, the airline said.
“This strategic initiative emerges as a timely opportunity yielding additional foreign revenue to the country and keeping in line with the vision, of the Government of Sri Lanka to make MRIA an international aviation hub,” the airline said in a statement. ....
