Local restaurant makes pitch for COVID-19 relief from Barstool Fund
Chives Grille in Alliance, Ohio, is making its pitch to receive money from Dave Portnoy's Barstool Fund.

Like many bars across the country, Chives Grille in Alliance, Ohio, has found itself struggling amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

So when Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy announced the Barstool Fund, which has raised more than $34 million to help struggling small businesses amid the pandemic, the bar's owner, Pam Vargo, was ready to reach out.
"This is what we love to do," Vargo, who owns the bar just outside the University of Mount Union campus with her sister, Tammie Sobotka, told 3News.
