The Monaghan county board have suspended senior football boss Seamus McEnaney for three months with immediate effect.
The ban comes after footage emerged of a collective training session involving the senior panel from last month.
The county board have said that following an investigation, they ve established that there was a breach of the Covid-19 regulations and guidelines.
They added that they will comply with any Croke Park investigation into the session.
Journalist with the Irish Independent Frank Roche told Shannonside/Northern Sound FM, this latest controversy comes on a bad day for the organisation. ....

GAA president Larry McCarthy says the association s reputation has been damaged by a series of high-profile breaches of the ban on inter-county training.
They re investigating a training session conducted by the Monaghan footballers last month, for which the Farney county have banned manager Seamus McEnaney for 12-weeks.
Dessie Farrell was handed a similar suspension by Dublin GAA for a session held at Inisfails GAA club last week. Cork football manager Ronan McCarthy and Down s Paddy Tally have also fallen foul of the COVID-19 regulations.
I think it s done us reputational (sic) damage, which we re going to have to work to get back, McCarthy said after confirming the GAA s fixtures plan for 2021. ....

Monaghan senior football manager Seamus McEnaney has been handed a three month ban by his own county board after admitting a serious error if judgement regarding Covid-19 regulations.
Today’s Irish Independent reported that they had been supplied with photographs and video which showed Monaghan county footballers in collective training at the end of March.
Following the news Monaghan GAA investigated the matter and issued a statement in which they ‘will fully cooperate and comply with any Croke Park investigation.’

GAA president Larry McCarthy admits that the latest breach of intercounty training protocols has done the Association some reputational damage but says they will work hard to restore confidence from people.
Monaghan GAA suspended senior football manager Seamus McEnaney on Thursday, after confirming a breach of Covid-19 guidelines.
This followed a breach of guidelines by the Dublin footballers recently and before that Cork and Down footballers.
It was reported this morning that the GAA were investigating footage of the Monaghan senior squad collectively training, which was in breach of both government and GAA regulations. ....
