Aaron Smith has highlighted the brutal reality of Super Rugby Aotearoa as the injury toll continues to mount.
In recent weeks, the competition has seen several of the country s top players fall to injuries – some of which will require a long recovery period.
Smith s Highlanders teammate Connor Garden-Bachop is the latest casualty for the southerners, suffering a wrist injury in the side s golden-point loss to the Chiefs last weekend. Vehicle owners will have to pay up if drivers fail to pay tolls, warns PLUS

PETALING JAYA: Vehicle owners - especially logistics companies - whose drivers try to evade toll fraudulently will pay a heavy price including being taken to court, says Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Bhd (PLUS).
The highway concessionaire said vehicle owners, particularly logistics companies, should be more vigilant and responsible for the actions of their drivers and employees should they fail to pay toll fares while using PLUS-operated highways.
This came after the Federal Court recently decided that a logistics company is vicariously liable whenever their drivers and employees fail to pay the required toll fares.
Previously, PLUS filed a suit against a logistics company - Berjasa Logistics Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Sin Kung Logistics (KL) Sdn Bhd) - to recover unpaid toll fares involving 19 vehicles registered to the company and driven by its employees over the past few years, the concessionaire said. ....

B desh: COVID death toll crosses 10k-mark
Dhaka, Apr 15 (UNI) Bangladesh COVID-19 death toll surpassed the grim milestone of 10,000-mark on Thursday, with 94 more fatalities reported in last 24 hours.
So far, the total number of deaths stood at 10,081, the health directorate said in a press release.
As many as 4,192 more people contracted the virus in the past day, bringing the total cases to 7,07,362.
Of the total patients, 5,92,214 recovered, with 5,915 made recovery in the last 24 hours.
The daily count came from test of 19,959 samples in the past day.
Bangladesh first reported its COVID-19 cases on March 8 last year.

Noida/Ghaziabad: Gautam Budh Nagar reported four Covid deaths on Tuesday, taking the district’s toll to 97.
While a 75-year-old man who was in home isolation after testing positive passed away on Monday, an 80-year-old man who was at Noida Covid Hospital died during treatment. The other two deaths were on April 4 and 11 but they were added to the tally on Tuesday. One was a 48-year-old woman from Noida and the other was a 25-year-old man from Mirzapur in Dankaur who passed away at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS). “Both died due to acute respiratory distress syndrome and infection in the lungs. Their entries were made late on Monday due to some technical glitch,” said Dr Sunil Dohare, district data monitoring officer, GB Nagar. ....
