Walk-In COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Held in Oshkosh By Rob Sussman Apr 15, 2021 6:21 PM OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) One of the area’s first COVID-19 vaccine clinics was held Thursday in Winnebago County. At the Sunnyview Expo Center in Oshkosh on Thursday literally anyone could just walk in off the street to get a COVID-19 vaccine. For some people, it was their first opportunity to get the vaccine. “I tried to get it through my doctor’s office, ThedaCare, and they didn’t have any openings,” Sandra Lacount from Menasha said. Lacount has COPD and asthma. She said she’s been trying to get a vaccine for a few weeks. ....
OSHKOSH - Sunnyview Expo Center in Oshkosh will host two more COVID-19 vaccine clinics next week. Registration is open now for a clinic on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Staff will administer the Moderna shot, which is open to Wisconsinites 18 and older, and people will return for their second dose on May 20. Oshkosh City Leaders Emphasize Importance of Local Vaccine Clinics By Casey Nelson Apr 13, 2021 12:30 PM OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) â A COVID-19 vaccination site at the Sunnyview Expo Center in Oshkosh is welcoming everyone 16 and older to get their shots. Nurses, National Guard, and volunteers are running a tight ship at the vaccine facility in Oshkosh. City Manager Mark Rohloff was volunteering Tuesday morning, helping guide people through the process. âGive it a shot, literally and figuratively,â Rohloff said. âOur mission is to get the vaccines out as much as possible. Itâs a very good operation.â âThe National Guard [members] are dose runners. Heâs always managing the doses so the nurses donât get doses without him bringing them to them, so thereâs no chance for doses to disappear,â said Shelley Brown-Giebel, Emergency Preparedness Specialist for Winnebago County Public Health. ....
