FOND DU LAC - The Fond du Lac County Health Department reported 29 more positive COVID-19 tests since last Friday, according to its Community Impact Dashboard. The county s total positive case count is now up to 12,027, as of the 2 p.m. Friday update. There are 69 active cases in the county, and two of those people are hospitalized. To date, 11,855 people have been released from isolation measures and the department has recorded 125,897 negative tests. Since last Friday, the department also added two deaths in connection to COVID-19: a 71-year-old woman and a 77-year-old man died in December. The dashboard s total death count remains at 103. ....

Officials are asking people to wear masks in accordance with a previously proposed order the County Board rejected in February. Officials have not decided whether to issue a new order, which would remain advisory until the County Board votes on it.
