Tuesday, May 4, 2021 The Berryville Bobcats are understandably excited about clinching a berth in the Class 4A boys state soccer tournament, coach Bryce Moorman says. But for now, their focus is on the more immediate future. Theyre not satisfied, Moorman said Monday. They want a district championship and they feel the way that were playing right now, we have a shot at that. So were just taking it one game at a time. Theyve been doing a great job of understanding whats at stake. Theyre just theyre really focused and theyre really locked in right now.
In-person and livestreamed, with plans at the moment to limit attendance to immediate family After a year of mask-wearing, social distancing and an endless supply of hand sanitizer, Catholic schools in Arkansas can see a glimmer of light on the horizon with vaccinations and an eye toward graduation. Theresa Hall, superintendent for Catholic Schools, said the lessons learned from the 2020-2021 school year during the COVID-19 pandemic will be useful for the future. “It has made us think what can we do, how can we do things a little bit different. Sometimes we’re creatures of habit and sometimes it’s easy to stay doing what we always do because it works, but this has made us think outside the box and what can we do differently,” Hall said. “This makes you stop and think, ‘This is working or this is not working.’ It makes us reevaluate what we’re doing and how we do things like fundraising, recess, sports, teaching.”
Tuesday, April 13, 2021 The Berryville Bobcats picked up a pair of shutout victories last week, defeating Prairie Grove 4-0 at home on Tuesday, April 6, and then winning 2-0 at Subiaco Academy on Friday, April 9. We had a little bit of a monkey on our back trying to get another win, coach Bryce Moorman said of the win over Prairie Grove. Our kids really came out and played with energy and enthusiasm. Freddy Roque and David Tapia provided all the scoring the Bobcats needed. Tapia had a hat trick against Prairie Grove with three goals while Roque added one. Tapia and Roque added one goal apiece against Subiaco Academy.
