LafargeHolcim improves its sustainability performance and ESG rating 26 April 2021 LafargeHolcim announced that its sustainability achievements in 2021 were ranked ranked first in its sector by Vigeo Eiris, giving the company its highest rating of A1 +. LafargeHolcim was also named best in its sector in terms of transitioning to a low-carbon economy. This rating places LafargeHolcim within the top two per cent of companies ranked worldwide. The Solar Impulse Foundation endorsed 10 LafargeHolcim green building solutions. The labelled solutions contributed to the Solar Impulse Foundation s challenge of identifying 1000 clean technologies that protect the environment in a profitable way. Argos signs COP160bn ESG-linked performance loan with BBVA 15 March 2021 BBVA and Argos (Grupo Argos) signed a long-term financing agreement through a sustainable loan in an ESG-linked format for COP160bn (US$44.8m) where the loan includes a pricing adjustment mechanism that links the interest rate to the company’s ESG performance. LafargeHolcim accelerated its sustainability in 2020 01 March 2021 LafargeHolcim accelerated its climate action this year with the launch of its net-zero pledge, as a signatory of the Business Ambition for 1.5°C . The company set the most ambitious climate targets of its industry, validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to reach net-carbon emissions of 475kg net of CO 2 per tonne of cementitious materials by 2030.
