COLORADO SPRINGS â One man, one brush, one van, one year. A Florida artist has stopped in Colorado Springs on his 50-state road trip to collaborate with local artists and spread positivity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Drew Devine hit the road in mid-June after being furloughed from his restaurant job in Sarasota, Florida. He s painting his way across America to bring art and kindness to people in all 50 states shaken by the pandemic. ....

In memory of the late prominent Qatari artist Dr. Wafa Al Hamad, two murals of her 1991 painting “A Dream on the Seabed” were unveiled yesterday at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara). Katara General Manager Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti unveiled the murals which adorn the exterior walls of Building 36. Murals of prominent works of art by pioneering Qatari artists who have had a great impact on the Qatari art scene deserve to stand for their creativity and introduce the emerging generations to them, said Dr. Al Sulaiti. He said the launch of the two murals located at the southern expansion of Katara continues the series of inaugurations of murals which Katara had ....

Artist Dan Mills has painted a lot of murals of his own design, but he s delighted to be decorating a Whanganui wall with someone else s.
Mills began painting a design by Whanganui artist Jodi Clark
on a freshly painted wall in Maria Pl on January 22.
He lived in Whanganui for eight years and his own designs can be seen in Castlecliff s Rangiora St on a dairy and library and in Drews Ave, opposite the old Chronicle building. He has also worked in Wellington. ....
