The Huawei SERES SF5 is a new hybrid SUV that has been developed by Huawei - the Chinese smartphone maker, in conjunction with SERES – the electric car and component manufacturer. The two companies announced the partnership at the Shanghai Auto show, and also stated that the SF5 SUV will be sold via Huawei flagship stores across China.
Its hybrid system uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine to power the battery
The electric motors produce a combined 551hp and 820Nm
It has a range of 180km on battery power and 1000km+ on hybrid power

It is time for them to double down on product development - and the announcement of 10 EVs in China over the next 5 years is a good start.Honda as a motor company has been dropping the ball globally. Be it in motorsport (take the debacle of their F1 return overall), their diminishing reputation for vehicles in global markets and not just India, the lack of wow factor in their products (type R models don t generate the same response anymore; the NSX revival had an extremely tepid response for such a cult brand, and the very hit and miss styling of recent years) - yeah, it s a company that really needs to find it s mojo again. ....
