Abiodun Begins Atan-Lusada-Agbara Road Reconstruction, Commissions Others

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has turned the sod for the reconstruction of the Atan-Lusada-Agbara Road, with a promise that the road will not be abandoned.
The governor also commissioned the 10.25km Lusada Junction-Igbesa-Ogun Guangdong FTZ Road, a project undertaken via a Public-Private Partnership.
At the twin-event, Chairman Senate Committee on Works, Adamu Ailero, assured the Ogun State Government that the committee would ensure that the reconstruction work on Atan -Lusada-Agbara road be included in the 2022 Appropriation Bill.
Flagging off the 19km Atan-Lusada-Agbara Road, Abiodun said the commencement of rehabilitation work on the road would impact positively on the ease of doing business along the industrial corridor ....

Gov Abiodun flags off reconstruction of 19km Atan-Lusada-Agbara road

He said that the roads when completed, would impact positively on the ease of doing business along the industrial corridor.
The governor said that his administration decided to embark on the reconstruction of the roads in order to give succour to the residents and industries along the axis notwithstanding that
“it is a federal government road.”
He commended the federal government for the prompt approval of his request for the transfer of the rehabilitation, reconstruction and maintenance of the Atan-Lusada-Agbara road to the state government.
The governor added that his administration had constructed over 172 km of road and rehabilitated 120 km across the length and breadth of the state within two years. ....

Senator Abiru seeks urgent interventions on deplorable Ikorodu/Sagamu, Ikorodu-Itoikin-Epe Roads

Senator, representing Lagos East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Adetokunbo Abiru, on Wednesday, moved a motion for the urgent rehabilitation of the Ikorodu/Shagamu and Ikorodu-Itoikin-Epe- Ijebu-Ode roads.
In the motion titled, “Motion On The Urgent Need For The Rehabilitation Of The Ikorodu-Shagamu And Ikorodu-Itoikin- Epe Roads To Further Bridge The Infrastructure Gap And Enhance Economic Growth In Nigeria”, Abiru urged that the critical roads connecting the Ikorodu and other areas under the Lagos East Senatorial District to other parts of the country should be rehabilitated.
The motion on the deplorable roads is a response to one of the major requests by Lagos East constituents in the NEEDS ASSESMENT that was conducted by Abiru during the electioneering last year. ....
