WEST WARWICK – The Centreville Bank Charitable Foundation recently awarded $192,800 in grants to 18 Rhode Island and Connecticut community organizations, according to a news release.
The funding aims to support organizations that align with the foundation’s priorities in economic security, education, capacity building and COVID-19 recovery, the release stated. ....

The Centreville Bank Charitable Foundation awarded a $5,000 grant to the Furniture Bank of Southeastern Connecticut to purchase beds for people in financial need.
The furniture bank, originally an outreach of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Gales Ferry, has been providing beds and other furniture to people in financial need for more than 38 years. Although the coronavirus pandemic has required limits on pickup and delivery of donated furniture to essential items, the Furniture Bank is continuing to provide beds as usual. ....
