Women engineers pledge to accelerate pace in field of engineering July 4, 2021 Rawalpindi: Awareness seminar of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Women Engineer Committee was held here on Friday at FJWU. Guests of the seminar were Engineer Javed Salim Qureshi, Chairman PEC, Engineer Suhail Aftab Qureshi and Dr. Saima Hamid, Vice Chancellor FJWU. Basic purpose of the seminar is to give awareness to women engineers. Pakistan Engineering council under their Punjab chapter has formulated the first committee to speed up the regulatory process in the field. Message of this committee is to “Let’s do it together.” Dr. Maryam Jalal, In-charge Electronic Engineering Department FJWU welcomed the honorable guests and said the PEC has constituted a Women Engineering Committee (Punjab) to encourage the interest and professional challenges faced by Women Engineering working in all fields to enhance their efficiency. ....
‘Youth to reap manifold benefits from KJP’ Usman Dar says PM keen to create massive employment opportunities RAWALPINDI: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar said the present government has launched a massive drive to sensitise the university students about the benefits of the Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Programme (KJP) aimed at ensuring socio-economic empowerment of the youth through their skill development, financial inclusion, and civic and political engagement. He was speaking at a certificate awarding and cheque distribution ceremony under the KJP held at the Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU). Dar said women could reap the benefits of KJP as 25 per cent of the total allocation was allocated exclusively for them. The role of women in national development was crucial, he added. ....
