Sonitpur (Assam) [India], February 7 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday made a veiled reference to the toolkit shared by Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg while extending support to farmers protest and said that a conspiracy has been hatched to defame India and asserted some foreign powers are planning to tarnish the image of India s tea.
Speaking at an event in Sonitpur s Dhekiajuli, PM Modi said that the people must answer those who have decided to ruin the image of our tea. He also slammed the Opposition parties for being silent on the toolkit case.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today visit the poll-bound states of West Bengal and Assam, the second time in a little over two weeks. He was in Kolkata on January 23 to mark Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's birth anniversary, Parakram Diwas, and on the same day visited Sibsagar district to hand out land ownership titles to over a lakh indigenous people of the northeastern state.
