Look, it s not high art, but what it does, it does quite well. Mortal Kombat is a film that for a fan like me, is a satisfying, albeit silly, and over the top cinematic journey. No doubt, it might not be everyone s cup of tea (my wife, for instance, won t touch this flick with a 10-foot pole and gave a bit of an eye roll when I said I was going to watch it.) But, for those that like this type of movie, it delivers the goods. But, if this movie is nominated for best picture next year at the Oscars something is very, very wrong. ....
