JHANG: Municipal Corporation Administrator/DC Fayyaz Ahmed Friday lauded the services of MC staffers for their hard work in cleaning the city especially on Eid days despite rain. The DC said the MC staffers rendered wonderful services with limited resources. He said they removed waste of sacrificial animal from different roads and residential areas efficiently. Talking to reporters, he said due to rainfall during Eid days old sewerage lines were chocked and the staffers did the work efficiently. ....

No load shedding on Eid days: Fesco

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) Monday announced that no load shedding would be held in the region on the Eid-ul-Azha holidays. According to a Fesco spokesman, there were more than 1,000 feeders in the Fesco region and all those were included in category A, where no load shedding will be observed.
He said focal persons have also been nominated in all five circles of the Fesco whereas special monitoring cells have been established in Faisalabad First Circle, Faisalabad Second Circle, Jhang Circle, Sargodha Circle and Mianwali Circle to take prompt action for redressing electricity related complaints during Eid days. ....

LAHORE: The City received around 99mm rain here Tuesday inundating all major roads, greenbelts, open places and temporarily established markets for the sale of sacrificial animals.
The rain started early Tuesday and continued till noon. It damaged the temporarily established sale points of sacrificial animals due to which a large number of sellers thronged City roads with their animals. Mostly every greenbelt or open plot in various localities was flooded with sacrificial animals.
As per the data released by Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa), the highest rain of 99mm was recorded at Farrukhabad and lowest was recorded at 40.6mm on Jail Road. The data showed that 97mm rain was recorded at Pani Wala Talab and Nishtar Town each, 86.3mm rain at Lakshmi Chowk, 86mm at Johar Town, 73mm at Samanabad, 68mm at Gulshan-e-Ravi, 80mm each at Chowk Nakhuda and Punjab University, 59mm at Tajpura, 58mm at Iqbal Town, 53 ....
