Feb. 6 One more Whatcom County residents who tested positive for COVID-19 has died and the number of confirmed cases in the county climbed by 48, the Washington State Department of Health s dashboard reported on Friday, Feb. 5.
Overall, Whatcom County has seen 5,857 confirmed cases and 69 related deaths during the pandemic, according to state data as of 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, meaning 1.2% of all COVID cases in Whatcom County have been linked to a death.
Sixty-one additional probable cases an increase of 14 from Thursday report have been reported in Whatcom County during the pandemic, resulting from positive antigen tests not confirmed by a molecular test. ....

Feb. 5 Two more Whatcom County residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died and the number of confirmed cases in the county climbed by 74, the Washington State Department of Health s dashboard reported on Thursday, Feb. 4.
Overall, Whatcom County has seen 5,809 confirmed cases and 68 related deaths during the pandemic, according to state data as of 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, meaning 1.2% of all COVID cases in Whatcom County have been linked to a death.
Forty-seven additional probable cases an increase of three from Wednesday s report have been reported in Whatcom County during the pandemic, resulting from positive antigen tests not confirmed by a molecular test. ....

Jan. 15 For the sixth time in 12 days, Whatcom County s reported number of confirmed new COVID-19 cases was in triple figures, as 128 new cases were reported on the Washington State Department of Health dashboard Thursday, Jan. 14.
Before Jan. 3, Whatcom had not seen a reported increase of more than 84 throughout the entire pandemic.
It took Whatcom County only 14 days to top 1,000 reported cases in 2021 there have been 1,111 so far this year but it s seven-day average did drop slightly from 98.6 Wednesday, Jan. 13, to 92.4 Thursday. The 1,111 cases in 2021 represents 21.0% of the county s total for the pandemic. ....

Jan. 8 Whatcom County smashed a record it had no interest in ever approaching, as the Washington State Department of Health reported 171 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, Jan. 7.
While that matched the 171 new cases the state Department of Health reported four days earlier, the cases reported Sunday, Jan. 3, represented three days of data an average of 57 cases per day following the New Year s holiday and no data being released Saturday due to a processing error by the state. ....

Dec. 19 Whatcom County has 27 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and eight probable cases, according to the Washington State Department of Health Friday, Dec. 18. No additional deaths were reported for Whatcom County
Whatcom County now has seen 3,069 confirmed cases, and 52 related deaths during the pandemic, according to state data as of 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17. That means that 1.7% of the Whatcom residents who have tested positive for COVID during the pandemic have died.
Eight probable cases have been reported in Whatcom County during the pandemic resulting from positive antigen tests, but those cases were not confirmed by a molecular test. ....
