Almost all of Newfoundland and Labrador s new COVID-19 cases over the last few weeks have been travel-related.
Four more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador on Monday,in addition to one more crew member onboard the Federal Montreal cargo ship anchored in Conception Bay.
The four new cases in the province are:
A man in the Eastern Health region between 20 and 39 years old who had recently travelled within Canada.
A male in the Western Health region under the age of 20 who is a close contact of a previous case. ....

The union that represents 15,000 Canadian marine workers is demanding the government come up with a plan to vaccinate seafarers after the most recent COVID-19 outbreak on the Atlantic Huron, a Canada Steamship Lines bulk carrier.
The ship, now anchored in the St. Lawrence River, often plies the Great Lakes and was delivering iron ore to Quebec City when the crew got sick last month, according to Jim Given, the president of the Seafarers International Union of Canada. ....
