Paddle boarders rescued off Chesil Cove, Portland

It is understood the pair were on paddleboards and were caught out by strong offshore winds.
The exhausted pair were rescued more than a mile off Chesil Cove, Portland earlier this afternoon after getting into difficulty.
Worried people on the beach raised the alarm.
Onlookers said the pair had set off from the Cove but were blown further out. They were unable to get back to shore despite attempts to scramble to safety.

Weymouth Lifeboat was launched after the alarm was raised and Coastguard teams were sent to the scene. ....
