Facility director denies abuse allegations

ASHLAND  State investigators, citing the use of improper restraint, went to court Wednesday asking a judge to remove the owner of an area youth treatment center and put operation of the facility into a third-party receiver.
A civil lawsuit filed in Ashland County Common Pleas Court by the Ohio Attorney General s Office seeks a temporary restraining order and an immediate injunction against Mohican Young Star Academy owner Olga Starr.
The action follows a state inspection at the residential treatment center in Perrysville, with reports of abuse and a gross lack of reporting of the use of restraints, according to a news release from Attorney General Dave Yost. ....
