A patient who escaped the Florida State Hospital grounds in Chattahoochee over the weekend was taken into custody Monday morning by Jackson County deputies.
They found 31-year-old Steven Barnes at a relative s house Monday around 9 a.m., according to a Jackson County Sheriff s Office dispatcher. 
Barnes was in the Developmental Disabilities Defendant Program (DDDP), in a separate building from the rest of the facility. 
According to a Facebook post by the City of Chattahoochee, he fled the grounds on Sunday. A Florida State Hospital security officer who requested to remain anonymous, however, said he escaped late Saturday night. ....
