Prosecutors have decided not to pursue any charges against a man who reportedly shot and killed another man outside the victim s southwest Marion County residence several months ago. Omar Parrera allegedly shot Bradley Pease once in the chest on Sept. 19 at 4725 SW 166th Court near Dunnellon, according to a memorandum from Assistant State Attorney Rich Buxman. The 32-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital, where he died. Buxman gave several explanations on why Parrera wasn t charged with the shooting. The state, the prosecutor outlines in the six-page document, has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the suspect did not act in self-defense and was not in fear for his life when he pulled the trigger and shot the victim. ....
