Tipperary Mid West Radio Cannabis Plant (Stock Image: Jane Klein @ edrosenthal.com) Gardaà have arrested a man and seized â¬230,000 of suspected cannabis herb in Limerick city in the early hours of this morning.  Shortly before 12.30am this morning, Gardaà from the Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit stopped and searched a car in the Castletroy area of Limerick. During the course of the search Gardaà seized â¬200,000 of suspected cannabis herb. The driver, a man in his 50s, was arrested at the scene and was brought to Henry Street Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. ....

Tipperary Mid West Radio Gardaà have arrested a man following the discovery of a suspected grow house in Co. Tipperary yesterday. At around 8.30pm Gardaà from Thurles Garda Station carried out a search of a property close to Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary in relation to an ongoing operation into the cultivation of cannabis plants in the district. During the course of the search, a horse transporter box was searched. The horsebox had been adapted to facilitate a suspected cannabis growing operation and was fitted with lighting, fans and other paraphernalia required to cultivate cannabis plants.â¬9,600 of suspected cannabis plants were seized during the course of the search. One man, aged in his late 30âs, was arrested and detained at Templemore Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He was later released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. ....
Jane Klein was notoriously sassy. “I grew up knowing Jane as the crazy New York aunt, said Heather Pelkey, a lifelong family friend of Klein. Who would yell ‘Yo broad!’ across the bar. and would light up everything. Klein was also incredibly kind and caring. Many people, including Pelkey, knew Klein as ‘Aunt Jane’, biological connection or not. “You couldn t get away from her without getting smothered with love and affection and hugs,” Pelkey said. Klein passed away from COVID-19 on Jan. 30 at a nursing home in Fayetteville. She was six days away from her 68th birthday. Originally from Long Island, Klein’s family and friends say they will remember her for always supporting them, and for helping create the North Texas Irish Festival, one of the largest Irish festivals in the United States. ....
