Eastside Community Recaps Their Chair-ity Auction ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Eastside Community Ministry completed its annual Chair-ity auction this past Friday. This was the sixth annual auction that the ministry has put on. Executive director Jamie Trout tells us more. “We are so excited. Our sixth annual charity auction went great, our online auction brought in over $18,000. We are still expecting donations through the mail so we’re hoping to reach around $20,000 for this year.”, Trout told WHIZ. The outpour of support Eastside received shows Trout just how much the community cares. She extends her thanks to the numerous donators. 0We are so excited for the support we’ve received. We had 137 entries and 194 registered bidders so thank you all so much for your support.”, Trout continued. ....
Eastside Community Ministry is Looking for Chair-ity Auction Entries th Annual Chair-ity Auction. The popular auction is a large contributor to Eastside’s everyday programs. the food pantry, clothing bank, emergency relief services and youth programs all benefit from the proceeds. Executive Director Jamie Trout is asking the community to submit entries for the auction. “Like most things this is a little bit different for us this year. We’re used to being able to have all of our items on display, in person auctions, and lots of festivities going on. But this year everything’s going to take place online,” explained Trout. “We are in need of entries from local businesses, individuals, churches, organizations, just anyone really that wants to get involved. They can take any type of chair and add an incentive package to it. And we’re going to auction it off to support the programs here at Eastside.” ....
WHIZ News Eastside Community Ministry Looks Forward to 2021 ZANESVILLE, OH – Many local organizations are looking forward to the start of the new year. Eastside Community Ministry is one of those organizations that is optimistic about 2021. Executive Director Jamie Trout says she has learned a lot from 2020. The pandemic made the team at Eastside stronger and brought them closer together. This newfound strength and bond will help propel them into 2021. “We’re excited to be in 2021, we have a lot of great plans for Eastside. Last year was one of the busiest years that we’ve ever had here. And we’re looking to expand and really grow in 2021… I’m looking forward to seeing where Eastside goes. We are running out of space here and I know initially when they built this building they thought that we would have all the room we would ever need. But we are outgrowing Eastside and looking to expand here in the very near future.” ....
WHIZ News Eastside Community Ministry Passes Out Christmas Toys ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Eastside Community Ministry volunteers passed out toys to children this morning near their office. The giveaway was pre registered and was drive through only. Executive director Jamie Trout talks about the children they were helping to serve. “We have adopted 126 kids this year for Christmas. We have these children referred to us by the Salvation Army if they missed the Angel Tree signup. Today we’re giving away to all those families we were able to help… We have bikes and toys and books, puzzles, baby dolls, Barbies, you name it. That’s all thanks to McHughs doing their annual toy drive for us and also Toys for Tots helped us out a lot this year too.”, Trout wore a Christmas themed outfit while she passed out toys. ....
