Treasure Coast Newspapers FORT PIERCE A 55-year-old man was arrested after accusations he stabbed another man three times in the arm, according to an affidavit released Thursday. James Gutierrez, whose address was redacted from records, was arrested by Fort Pierce police at 12:34 a.m. Tuesday on a felony aggravated battery charge. Police about an hour earlier went to an undisclosed address. Dispatchers said a man was stabbed with a sword. A suspect named “Jimmy” was said to be living in the area of Avenue D and North 7th Street. Police spoke to a man who identified himself as “Jimmy.” Investigators reported finding two pocket knives on him. He told police he was grilling outside and argued with a man. He said the man tried to threaten him, and he was protecting himself. ....
