Comprising James Macaulay on trombone, Steve Grant on piano, Helen Svoboda on bass and James McLean on drums, their album 3 Minute Blitz (released in 2014) celebrated the diverse history Australian jazz as well as speed chess. For this special gig at the Jazzlab they will be playing music Macaulay composed in Japan as well as a hit or two from the old days. The quartet revolves around their unique interplay of disparate histories and musical loves.
