City Man Jailed On Burglary Charges | News, Sports, Jobs

A Jamestown man accused of breaking into a northside home, then caught attempting to enter another, is facing burglary charges.
Cody A. DiDomenico, 27, was waiting to appear in Jamestown City Court for arraignment on charges of second-degree burglary, trespass and two counts of petit larceny.
Officers responded at 4:45 p.m. Sunday to a Falconer Street residence for a reported burglary in progress. The homeowner told officers he heard someone upstairs in his home and called 911. An investigation found that DiDomenico allegedly broke into the residence and took a cellphone and other property.
DiDomenico was later found “as he was attempting to enter another city resident’s home,” Jamestown police said in a news release. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident. ....

Pair Who Broke Into Thrift Store Charged | News, Sports, Jobs

Two Jamestown residents who police say broke into the St. James Church Thrift Store before leaving “garbage all over” and defecating on the walls and floors were awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
Officers responded at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to the church thrift store, located at 141 Institute St., for an alleged trespassing. An investigation found that Adam Morrison, 33, and Mackenzie Kepler, 19, forced open a storm door that had been locked and entered the building.
While inside, the pair left garbage around and defecated on the walls and floor, JPD said in a news release. ....

¯ BEMUS POINT Donald Smith, 59, of Bemus Point, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Smith was stopped March 31 on Pancake Hill Road in Bemus Point for a traffic violation and was taken into custody after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests. Smith was transported to police barracks where he provided a breath sample of 0.12%. He was processed and released with tickets to appear in Ellery Town Court later.
¯ Geoffrey Ghiandoni, 32, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Troopers were flagged downed by pedestrians Thursday for a running vehicle in the parking lot of a Jamestown business during hours of operation with an individual passed out in the driver seat. The troopers were able to get the individual, later identified as Ghiandoni, to regain consciousness and placed him under arrest after he failed several field sobriety tests. Ghiandoni is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court later. ....
