LODI, Calif. Over in the city of Lodi, a trip to the next COVID-19 vaccine clinic could save you $25 or more on your utility bill.
It’s part of the city’s new vaccine incentive program that is supported with American Rescue Plan funds. In a phone interview, Mayor Alan Nakanishi said the city got $16 million in funds and could use about $250,000 on vaccine incentives in the future. He said the idea for the utility credit came about because some residents were struggling with their utility bills. ....

A mass vaccination site at Stockton Arena did not open as planned on Tuesday after health care providers did not receive the anticipated supply of vaccines from the state, Kaiser Permanente said Sunday.
The Stockton mass vaccination hub, which was to be operated by Kaiser and a consortium of health care partners, was delayed until the necessary COVID-19 vaccine is available. Kaiser says it learned late last week that the state did not receive enough vaccine supply to provide it for the Stockton hub. ....

STOCKTON – Jason-Alec Soto was among the first to receive the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday afternoon at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
The Modesto resident born and raised in Stockton said he was trepidatious initially but decided to go ahead to help protect himself and his family from the coronavirus.
“For me the importance of getting this is my mom is a high-risk person,” said Soto, who works in admitting at the hospital. “From what I’ve been told, this is good for people that are high risk. I just want to make sure my mom is safe, so for me it was important to get it for her.” ....
