FIR registered against social influencer Hitesha Chandranee, who had alleged assault by Zomato delivery boy
An FIR has been registered against social media influencer Hitesha Chandranee, who had alleged assault by a Zomato delivery executive in Bengaluru. 
The FIR has been registered on delivery boy Kamaraj s complaint under section 355 (assault), 504 (insult) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). 
According to a police officer, Kamaraj had stated that Hitesha had hit him with slippers, accused him of defaming her and hurling abuses at him on March 9.
Hitesha, in the meanwhile, deleted her video from Twitter that went viral based on which the police had arrested Kamaraj on March 10. ....

A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against Instagram influencer Hitesha Chandrani based on the complaint from Zomato delivery executive Kamraj, who she had alleged of assaulting her. In the case filed with Bengaluru s Electronic City Police Station, she has been charged with Sections 355 (assault), 504 (insult) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code. ....

Hitesha Chandrani, a Bengaluru-based woman, shared a video on Instagram alleging that the Zomato delivery boy attacked her and injured her. The video instantly went viral on social media and the matter quickly accelerated. The delivery man named Kamaraj was delisted by the food delivery app and soon after Bengaluru police arrested him. Now a version of the delivery boy has also surfaced, which the woman accused of punching.
