Denver Muralist Charlo Is On a Mission To Spread Joy

Whether you’re admiring one of Charlo Garcia Walterbach’s elaborate and whimsical murals around Denver, or simply listening to the artist, who goes by “Charlo,” speak, one word always seems to emerge: “joy.”
“There’s a component of joy that is contagious,” he says. “I feel like it’s my duty to make sure I’m not stopping that.”

Bob Koester, who died May 12 at age 88, knew what he liked and what you should like too. For nearly 70 years, he owned Chicago s Jazz Record Mart (and the Delmark label), and it was completely in character for him to snatch an album from the hands of an earnest young shopper.

John M. Corcoran & Company project manager Mary Davis said the new 237-unit Mio Apartments complex on Route 18 would provide different housing options for people who wish to live in Weymouth.
“It is great to have different housing options for people who want to experience what Weymouth has,” she said. “Weymouth is a very vibrant town.”
Davis said 96 units in the two-building complex are presently occupied, and she expects to welcome a new wave of residents as summer approaches.
