The heavy rains of this past weekend flooded roads and property, leaving one community completely cut off for a number of days.
The road in the Woodman community in Stopover was completely washed away in one area.
To compound the situation, Kentucky Power had to cut the power to the stranded families due to safety issues.

Flooding hits Pike, National Guard dispatched

Allburn Hollow at McCarr was one of numerous county roads that was inundated with water beginning on Feb. 26 and running through the morning of March 1. Pike Judge-Executive Ray Jones said the county has called in the National Guard to help clear roadways damaged by the flooding.

After a weekend of heavy rains, flooding is causing problems across the region.
Water crossed roads in many locations as creeks and streams spilled over their banks.
