Superior woman charged with sexual exploitation of a child

A minor who works with McConnell at a Superior restaurant reported to Superior police officers that McConnell had shown her pictures on a cell phone of the Texas girl posed provocatively in lingerie, the criminal complaint said. McConnell reportedly told her coworker that she and the 15-year-old were dating, and discussed their sexual video chats in great detail, which made the minor uncomfortable.
When interviewed by Superior police, McConnell reported that she was pursuing a long-distance relationship with the Texas girl, and she admitted to showing others partially nude pictures of her, according to the criminal complaint. McConnell told officers they met on Instagram about nine months ago and that they video chat every day. She said the Texas girl sent the photos through instant messaging on Facebook. ....

Larry Saccato, a defendant in Hansen v. Hartman, files lawsuit alleging wrongful initiation of civil proceedings


The suit was filed Friday in Douglas County Circuit Court.
Saccato’s lawsuit involves a piece of unfinished business from the Hansen v. Hartman harassment and retaliation case that at one point involved nine parties, many of them county officials.
County Chief Financial Officer Jessica Hansen alleged in her 2017 lawsuit that then-assessor Roger Hartman had subjected her to gender harassment and retaliated against her after she reported both the harassment and alleged ethics violations.
Hansen alleged Hartman worked with a group of his friends — including Saccato — to retaliate against her. In addition to Hartman and Saccato, the four included then-County Commissioner Gary Leif and assessor’s department employee Frank Lassen. ....
