ACROSS ARIZONA A prominent Arizona lawyer who represented the Arizona Cardinals and Arizona Diamondbacks has died. Michael Kennedy, a co-founding partner of Gallagher & Kenned, passed away Tuesday morning following a two year battle with cancer. He was 70 years old.
Following the news of his passing, Gov. Doug Ducey said he considered Kennedy, a key figure in Arizona professional sports, a personal friend who was a tireless champion for the community that was his home.

Mike Kennedy, the founding president of the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation, died Tuesday morning, the team confirmed.
The Arizona Diamondbacks are heartbroken over the loss of Mike Kennedy, who not only helped create and launch the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation but has served as its president since inception, D-backs managing general partner Ken Kendrick and president and CEO Derrick Hall said in a statement.
A dear friend to the organization, Mike was a pillar in the Arizona community for decades and his law firm, Gallagher & Kennedy, played a critical role in the founding of our franchise. He has touched the lives of so many and our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. ....
