Life-changing Libraries is set to showcase the transformative impact that a well-resourced primary school library has on a child’s opportunities in life, alongside the vast inequality currently facing children across England. A NORTH-East primary school is set to get a new library as part of a campaign asking the Prime Minister to spend £100,000 on facilities across the country. Skerne Park Primary School, in Darlington, is one of six across the country to get a new facility as part of the Life-changing libraries campaign by BookTrust and Waterstones Children s Laureate Cressida Cowell. It hopes the project s success will help convince the Government to invest in primary school libraries.
