Spitfire pilot Edmund James, Falmouth stolen photo joy

A 98-YEAR-OLD former Spitfire pilot was moved to tears after a photo of him flying his iconic plane and signed by his fellow airman was replaced by the Royal Air Force after it was stolen.
Dr Edmund James told the Packet back in November that he d been left devastated after the photo signed by fallen comrades was stolen from his home in Falmouth.
But the last surviving pilot of his Squadron was moved to tears of joy as Wing Commander Marshall Kinnear, Station Commander of RAF St Mawgan in Newquay, presented him with an almost identical framed photo signed with a very personal message from the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston KCB CBE ADC. ....
