WINNIPEG A Winnipeg man who purchased several items this winter from the Eaton’s flagship store in Winnipeg has added another item from the store to his collection, and he has a personal attachment to the new item. In December, Corey Quintaine, a collector of retail memorabilia, purchased six window displays from the former downtown Eaton’s store location when they came up for auction. Now, in January, he has added a new item from the Eaton’s store, a plaque bearing the image of Punkinhead, the bear cub mascot of Eaton’s Toy Land and a popular staple at Christmas.
Six Flags offers park holiday drive-thru experience
VALLEJO Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is hosting a new, modified holiday event – the Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience.
The first time the park for the first time is transformed from a walk-through experience to a drive-thru holiday spectacular featuring millions of twinkling lights, holiday theming and seasonal music in a safe event for the entire family.
The park’s rides and attractions will not be in operation per state requirements.
“Visiting Holiday in the Park has been an annual tradition for families all across Northern California for many years,” Park President Janine Durette said in a press release. “In these uncertain times, we believe that it is more important than ever to create a safe and fun atmosphere where our guests can enjoy the magic of the holiday season.
