Bradford politics student takes on challenge to raise awareness of tinnitus

A UNIVERSITY of Bradford student has pledged to walk or run 100km over the course of this month to raise awareness of a condition he suffers from.
Final year politics student Zbigniew Pawel Soj, known as Paul to his friends, has tinnitus - a condition characterised by unexplained, persistent sounds in the ear.
According to the British Tinnitus Association (BTA), it affects an estimated six million Brits, including 54,000 adults in Bradford and around 245,000 across West Yorkshire.
Paul, who turns 23 next week, is also hoping to raise £200 for the BTA as he takes on his challenge.
Paul s tinnitus began just over a year ago, when he started hearing unexplained high pitched sounds in his left ear. ....

A dad-of-two said he is still plagued two years on from a crash which left him suffering a serious back injury and tinnitus.
Scott Lowe, from Aspull in Wigan, was driving to work when his life was changed by disastrous injuries in October 2018.
Store manager Scott was nearing the roundabout at the junction of Hall Lane and Bolton Road at around 5.40am on October 5, when a van crashed into the the back of his Citroen DS3 on Hall Lane.
In the wake of the smash, he started experiencing pins and needles in his right leg and lower back, as well as back pain. ....

Dad-of-two shares his tinnitus struggle after horror crash

A FATHER-of-two has shared his battle with tinnitus he suffered in a car crash near Bolton more than two years ago.
Scott Lowe is only 33 but is plagued with a severe ringing in his ears following the October 2018 collision in Aspull.
He also endured a serious back injury when a van collided with the rear of his Citroen DS3 in Hall Lane.
Store manager Scott, who is married to Jordan, 28, received hospital treatment at the time but is still feeling the after-effects.
