First-ever women's triathlon club forms in Uzbekistan

In late 2020, Mrs. Yelena Kun, Secretary General of the Uzbekistan Triathlon Federation, formed the first-ever women’s triathlon club. Under the guidance of Mrs. Yelena Kun, a certified trainer and triathlete, the initiative is social, non-commercial and aims to develop triathlon and women’s participation in Uzbekistan. During the ongoing global pandemic, the club remains connected virtually, motivating and supporting one another to keep active with indoor training sessions.
The launch of the club enhances the development of the sport in Uzbekistan and promotes equality within participation in triathlon. The club provides access to every woman, regardless of her social status, religion, age, physical capabilities or background. The Sport Development team within Uzbekistan Triathlon Federation (UTF) shared insight into the development of the women’s triathlon club. ....

In 2014 Australia’s Kate Bramley had a remarkable year, earning the bronze medal in Edmonton for the sprint distance World Triathlon Championship (25-29 age group). At the World Triathlon Championship race in Chicago, she was able to add a gold medal to her collection, with victory in the same age-group category across the same distance.
The World Triathlete is living the triathlon dream, having progressed through the sport to become one of Triathlon Australia’s accredited performance coaches to some of the nation’s top age-group triathletes. Kate Bramley shares her race experiences and what it means to better understand human psychology and physiological performance as a triathlon coach and seeing the mix of people training together to achieve personal goals in triathlon. NEW DELHI: IPS officer Krishna Prakash has made it to the World Book of Records for being the first Uniformed Services Officer, including Armed Forces and Para Military Forces, to earn the Iron Man title.
Prakash had completed the Ironman Triathlon in 2017. The triathlon is widely considered one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world. The triathlon participants are required to complete a 3.8-kilometre swim, a 180.2-kilometre-long bicycle ride, and a 42.2 kilometre run - all within a fixed time frame of 16 to 17 hours. ....
