A new multi-million dollar wood pellet plant under construction in Demopolis holds a drive-thru job fair Thursday at the Demopolis Civic Center.
Job seekers were able to apply and interview for positions right from their vehicles.
Hunter Winborne is the company’s Human Resource Manager.
“Whenever we came up with this idea, we needed something to be able to introduce ourselves to the Demopolis workforce while also introducing the Demopolis workforce to us while also maintaining the integrity and safety of both our employees, our partners and the community,” said Winborne. ....

DEMOPOLIS, Ala. (WBRC) - West Alabama Works helped coordinate a drive-thru job fair set for Thursday in Demopolis.
Thatâs where a renewable energy company has decided to open a new plant. Pinnacle Renewable Energy Partners partnered with West Alabama Works. Theyâre hosting a drive-thru job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of the Demopolis Civic Center.
The company wants to hire more than 100 people for entry level positions and skilled jobs. People donât even have to get out of their car to get interviewed. ....

Jobs Available in Demopolis That Pay $15 to $30 per Hour

A job fair will be held in Demopolis on Thursday to find workers for jobs that pay between $15 to $30 per hour.
The jobs are with Pinnacle Renewable Energy, which is building a wood pellet plant next to a sawmill in Demopolis. It’s a nearly $100 million project.
The wood pellets will be used as fuel for large power generators.
The job fair will be at the Demopolis Civic Center from 10AM until 2PM Thursday. You need to bring a copy of your resume. You will be interviewed while you stay in your car with your face mask on. ....
